Congratulations Alpha Kappas and Soon To Be Alumni

Congratulations to our Fall 2011 pledge class on their recent initiation! Our newest brothers are Mundo Garza, Anthony Gillespe, Ben Kale, Kyle Kujala, Danny Lealiou, Chris Monforton, John Porcaro, Bo Sparks, Danny Thompson, and Mitch Whittington.

In addition, we give a bittersweet farewell to Scott Dykton, Jamie McGuire, Nate Staller, and Pat White who will be graduating this semester.

1st Annual Blazing Wings Challenge Champions

DSP competed in the first annual Blazing Wings challenge at Buffalo Wild Wings and came away with the first place trophies. We swept Phi Sig, AGR, and Tri Delta in all of the rounds, and in record fashon!

Weenie Wolfdown Champions

Delta Sigma Phi has defended our previous champion title in the Alpha Gamma Delta "Weenie Wolfdown" philanthropy event to raise money for charity. Our team devoured 15 hot dogs - defeating AGR, Delta Chi, and Pikes. Senior team captain Steve Finn is quoted as saying, "The only thing better than eating hot dogs is eating hot dogs for a good cause."

Moving in to Lambda

House construction is going well, with the roof completed and damaged walls/floors already gutted. Our chapter's temporary residence is located at Lambda Chi Alpha's old house, on south Oak Street, until rennovation is complete. Rennovations should be complete by the end of this academic school year.

Delta Sigma Phi House Fire

Early in the morning of April 20, 2010 flames blazed from the roof of Illinois State's Delta Sigma Phi chapter house. Thanks to the brothers that moved from door to door, getting everyone out, the 30 men living in the house escaped unharmed. The Normal Fire Department, who couldn't have been more helpful, managed to put out the fire, but unfortunately many brothers rooms have been completely destroyed. We have received overwhelming support from Illinois State University, the ISU Greek System, numerous local businesses, the Red Cross, our Nationals, Alumni, and many other Greek chapters.

Congratulations to the Alpha Iotas pledge class on their initiation! Yitbos to Reed Anderson, Karl Helser, Jimmy Kuhn, Garrett May, Tommy Schreiner, and Sean Smith.

Kings of the Court Philanthropy

Delta Sigma Phi recently hosted our first 'Kings of the Court' philanthropy event, a basketball tournament between multiple greek organizations at ISU.
