Rush Delta Sigma Phi

Rush

Rush is the time period where prospective members meet and learn about the different Greek organizations around campus. We invite you to come visit us, hang out and get to know some of our brothers. Join the rush Facebook group and/or send our Rush Face (the brother in charge of recruitment) a message and they can give you more information about the events that we will be having.

Whether or not you decide to join a fraternity, we hope you will come out to the many events we have planned for Rush week, and whether it be with us or another fraternity on campus, we encourage you to "Go Greek."

Why Join Delta Sigma Phi?

Networking

Leaving your best friends and family when you move away to college can be a daunting experience - we've all been there. Our members, events, and pledgeship offer you the opportunity to meet new friends of all ages with very diverse backgrounds and interests.

Alumni can provide employment opportunities, now and in the future.

Leadership Development

There are many positions that members of our house can hold, ranging from leadership to event organization. In addition, throughout the year Delta Sigma Phi provides leadership development seminars, such as RLA. This is a great opportunity for those who want management experience.

Community Service & Philanthropy

Delta Sigma Phi strives to give back to our community. In addition to hosting and participating in many differnet philanthropy events throughout the year, the procedes of which go to charities, brothers also get involved in local service projects such as Habitat for Humanity. If you want to help the community, let Delta Sigma Phi help you.

Athletics & Sports

Whether or not were playing b-ball on our court or participating in intramural games, Delta Sigma Phi stays active. Many of our members are athletes and enjoy playing casual games throughout the week.

Brotherhood

Delta Sigma Phi is more than just a group of friends, we are brothers. As brothers, we have fun together but also are always there to support each other as a family does. If you initiate in to Delta Sigma Phi you are considered a brother for life, and you will always be a part of our family.

Pledging

What is pledging? After rush week is over, we will contact the interested people that best fit our brotherhood and give them a bid. If you accept this bid, you will begin the journey to initiation that is "pledgeship". Delta Sigma Phi is a strictly NO HAZING fraternity; our pledges are treated with dignity and respect.

Opportunities

As a pledge, you are invited to attend almost all of the social events that active brothers are, including social events with sororities and formal dances. These are great opportunities to meet new people and create lifelong memories.

Standards

Remember, even though you can have a lot of fun pledging, school comes first and we want academic success for our potential members. Pledges can attend weekly study hours at the library, where they can do homework, help each other study, or get help from brothers who have already taken the course. Parents need not worry about their students missing class or not having time for their school work.

Each pledge also has the opportunity to interview the active members of our house. An interview consists of spending some time with an active and asking them a few questions to get to know them better.

Rush DSP Spring 2012

Interested in joining a well established fraternity in the ISU Greek System? Even though the fraternity is in the middle of repairing our house, we are still looking for better men to join our brotherhood. Delta Sigma Phi is a strictly NO-HAZING fraternity. If your interested, talk to our rush chairs or join the Facebook group to see if Delta Sigma Phi is right for you.
